Evaline "Lina" FOSTER was my great-grandmother. She was born in Ray County Missouri 2/18/1846. She died on 8/25/1938 in Maxwell, OK. I know she married James Alexander NELSON. Their last son was Henry Grady NELSON, my grandfather. I know nothing else. I don't know their heritage, when they were married, anything. I would appreciate anything anyone knows about her. Thank you very much.

Looking for ancestors/descendants of Sampson CASKEY b 1812 KY, married ca 1850 MO? to Mary Polly ENGLAND. Had all daughters. associated surnames are: KENNEDY, COIL, POPEJOY, and DANNER. DANNER is the line I am researching in Ray County. In the 1850 census for Ray County Sampson CASEY was the head of household with a family of GREENEs with him. Was this Rebecca GREENE a sister? He and Polly are buried in Orrick although only Polly's headstone survived. Is Sampson related to the Randolph Co CASKEYS also from KY? there was a Sampson in the 1850 census only who married an Elizabeth that year. Any clues appreciated. I live in Manchester MO

Do you have any information on the Father of Clarence Woodrow COLEMAN born in Orrick,MO in about 1913. I only know he was called Shorty and was married to Bertha and I think her maiden name was COVEY. I am trying to find out more about him so I may trace his Native American ancestry. Any information on Bertha would be helpful too. The grandfather of Clarence was said to have come from a reservation somewhere in the Southwest. I know this is not much information to go on, but I would appreciate anything you might turn up. Thank-you, Diana Mings

I am looking for information on the parents of John REED, b. 1822, d. 1907. According to my information (History of Cooper Co., 1919), John's parents were "pioneers in Carroll Co. in the 1820s". Of course, it was Ray Co. then, but I assume it means the part of Ray Co. that became Carroll Co. At some point, John moved to Lafayette Co. and remained there all his life. He died in Lexington, MO, in 1907. I have not been able to find anything on those pioneering parents of John, including their names. One of John's sons was my great grandfather, Rev. Benjamin Franklin REED, b. 1849 (or 1853) and died 1937, resident of Cooper Co. Any information on the parents of John REED will be appreciated.

Seeking any information concerning MOYER family. Benjamin F. MOYER b. in Orange County, IN. in 1833. Benjamin F. was a prominent farmer in Ray Co. following Civil War. Married Olive HULL 1857. 3 Children lived to adulthood. Fanny married Theodore WORTHING or WARDEN, Alice married George STIGALL, Josephine married David RIDER. As late as 1950's some relatives were in Richmond area. Benjamin also had brothers living or visiting in MO. William H. b. 1843 in IL supposedly died in Richmond June 27, 1879. His wife Elle, and children Srilda and William H. Jr. were probably still in Indiana. Bothers James A.MOYER b. 1841 and John W. MOYER b. 1839 may also have lived in the area. They may also have moved to KA. My grandmother visited MOYERS in both states as late a 1950. Benjamin's mother was Sarah PIPPEN who probably moved to Ray county following the death of her husband Paul Nathan MOYER in Paris, IL. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. I have quite a bit of information on early MOYERS to share. I also have many photos (including Civil War photo of Benjamin F.)and a few letters.
