From the intersection of "C" Hwy and Hwy 10 (west of Richmond) travel 2/10 miles west. Turn south onto Todds Chapel Road. Cemetery and church are about 1/2 mile down this gravel road. 1973 History of Ray County: One of the plats of the cemetery was drawn up and laid out on a piece of cloth, dated 1858. William Bales, a private in the War of 1812, is buried here. He was among the early pioneers of Ray County. The cemetery is maintained by donations; recently a trust fund has been established hopefully to reach the amount for perpetual care. Clinton Arnold is the trustee. (1973) |
