location #5 in Ray County History 1973, p. 230 From BB & D turn west onto 207th Street. At the end of this road after it turns to the north there is a locked gate. Walk west from this gate toward the Crooked River. The cemetery is located on the north of the lane quite a distance from the gate. According to my informant, Rocky, there are 40-50 stones in the cemetery. On old CR 28 9.7 mi W of Hwy "D". Private property. On private road. Cemetery cared for with about 35 burials. Earliest burial: John Zimmerman b. 9 Aug 1797 d. 3 Nov. 1843; Latest burial: John Alexander Campbell b. 15 May 1871 d. 5 Nov. 1949. Names include: Campbell, Davis, Mullin, Tanner, Thomson, Wilkerson, and Zimmerman Cummins Cemetery was also known as Zimmerman Cemetery, but it is a different cemetery located in Knoxville Township, just east of this Zimmerman Cemetery |
