BALES, LANE posted by Betty Reese on Friday, November 3, 2006

Surnames: BALES I am hunting for information on Samuel BALES, married to Paulina LANE. He is on the 1880 census in Grape Grove, Ray County, Missouri, showing he is 24, which makes him born about 1856. I cannot find him on 1910 census at all and susposedly he died in 1911, I think Clay County.

I am searching for a death on a Webb BALES or aka Ira Webb BALES. I believe that he may have died in the late 1950"s . The info that I have is that he is in a Ray County cemetery Records for 1958 vol 4-6. A family member gave me this information but I can't locate anything on it. Webb was born in Kentucky on 15 December 1885. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

MCINTOSH posted by Joan I. McIntosh on Tuesday, December 18, 2007

I have been researching for many years the lineage of William MCINTOSH. William was born in North Carolina in 1794. His name appears on the Crooked River Township, Hardin, Ray County, Missouri, 1870 census. He would have been 76 in 1870. His name does not appear on the 1880 census. It is certain that he died in Missouri as we have a letter indicating that he was in poor health. William MCINTOSH lived with his son, Thomas McIntosh (Hardin, Ray County, Missouri). Son of William, Thomas was born 1830 Sullivan County., Indiana and died 18 Feb 1882 in Hardin, Ray County, Missouri. Thomas moved to Hardin in 1867 (est.) and was a village blacksmith and landowner. I have gone through the cemetery records on line and do not find where either William or Thomas are buried. Is it possible that you could shed some light on either of the McIntosh's mentioned. I do have records of the wife and family of Thomas. William's wife died in Indiana. Obviously, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

FLETCHER posted by Thomas Marion Fletcher on Sunday, January 27, 2008

My search showd that there are two (2) David FLETCHER's in your area. One shows born 1780, the other 1783. I cannot determine which David belongs to my tree. We have my David located in Rockwall County Texas in the 1860 census. I think the critical situation is to determine the death of one or the other or both. I do know one of the Davids birth matches my records, but the other seems to fit the trade of my David (Cooper trade). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
