HOUSTON, HURLBURT, MOSS posted by Randal Moss on Wednesday, July 1, 1998

I am looking for info on the following people. Reuben J. MOSS married Elviry M. HOUSTON 2 Aug. 1849 in Ray Co., Missouri. They are listed in the 1850 Census as household 1422 Reuben MOSS 23 born in Missouri and Elvira MOSS 21 born in Tennessee. Living with them is William MOSS 26 born in Kentucky. Reuben and Elviry had a son named James MOSS born in Ray Co., Missouri in 1851. Does anyone know what happened to this family? They are not in the 1870 Census for Missouri. Is their son, James, the same James MOSS that married Mary H. HURLBURT in Redding, Shasta, California in September of 1871?
