QRYTEXT:Daniel RIGGS b. June 16, 1802 Kentucky married Mahala Einaer CHAPMAN In Ray County, Missouri October 28, 1827 in Ray County. They are my gr.gr. grandparents. They moved to Malalla, Oregon around 1850. Had 10 children. Both died in Oregon.
What my big question is that I can not find Mahala Einaer CHAPMAN's parents. She was born February18, 1812 in Tennessee and d. April 22, 1874 in Oregon. She was 15 when she married Daniel and at that time Reuben RIGGS was her guardian maybe the Reuben born 1792 as he was in Crocke County TN. Reuben moved to Ray County in1819. Have been trying to find her family for several years.

QRYTEXT:Looking for parents and birthplace of George A. MASON(1814-1862), my 2 great-grandfather. He married Elizabeth CHIPMAN(1821-1877) in July 1839 in Fayette Co., KY; then by 1840, according to a Ray County history, arrived in Ray County. Census records report a KY birth. Probably around 1845, he and his family had settled in Millville, Ray County where he was a retail merchant. His probate records indicate that at his death he was in partnership with these two men: Thomas B. FOWLER and Hovey HUTCHINS. George and Elizabeth had 4 children: Octavia(or Charlotte)(1840-1928), George Washington(1843?-1874), Elizabeth(or Martha)(1845?-1877), and James Chipman(1847-1922), my great-grandfather. All these children appear to have resided in Ray Co. until their deaths(although George was killed in an accident while traveling through Audrain County) except James who moved to Cloud Co., KS where he died in Miltonvale.

QRYTEXT:Looking for the connection between Samuel Owens MASON(1835-1881) and the family of George A. MASON(1814-1862). The evidence suggesting this connection comes from several Ray County probate records from the 1870s and 1880s including those for Elizabeth CHIPMAN(1821-1878) who was George A. MASON's widow and Samuel himself. Samuel was born, according to Kentuckians In Missouri, in Mason Co, KY. A Ray County history indicates he moved to Lafayette Co., MO in 1837 with his parents Robert MASON(d.1839) and Sarah Wiatt OWENS. After Robert's 1839 death, Sarah married Gideon FLOURNOY who also served as Samuel's guardian until he reached maturity. In 1856 in Lafayette Co., Samuel married Georgia DULANEY. From this union, the couple had these children: Robert W.(1857-1886), Ida(1859-), Gloria(1861-bef 1870), Flora(1863-), Alvin(1866-1884), Byran(1870-), and Georgia(1876-). Samuel served in the Confederate army during the Civil War, but after the war ended, he settled with his family in Ray County where he resided until his late 1881 death. Georgia died in 1878 and in 1879 Samuel married Mrs. Emma BYRAM, the widow of James BYRAM.

QRYTEXT:I will start off by saying that I live in Texas. I found a marriage between a Robert M. WALKER and Franssis M. STEVENS, 22 Apr 1891 Ray Co., MO off of Ancestry.com which I am a member. I am looking for Robert Martin WALKER who is my great grandfather. Because I can't find any information from the 1890 census from MO. I have lost him and my ggrandmother. No one really knows what happened to them. Their four children were living with relatives and/or as boarders in the 1900 census. The story that has been handed down was the they both died together in on of the first automobile accidents. I can't find anything to agree with that story nor can I find their graves. Any help would be appreicated.

They had 2 children, Ellen and John, in Vibbard, MO. Nancy died in 1899. Later, James resided on a farm near Lawson or Rayville with his brother, Frank. QRYTEXT:I am researching William MCINTOSH who lived in Ray, Hardin Co, MO with his son, Thomas MCINTOSH. Thomas died in 1882 and his wife, Catherine in 1884 both in Hardin, MO. It is possible that the father William is buried near his son, and I suspect that William died in the 1870's. He was still living with Thomas in 1869.

We know that William's father came to this country from Scotland when he was very young. We also know that William was born in 1794 in NC. But, we can not 
find any more information on William. Is it possible that there are records for that period in Hardin that might be of help.

QRYTEXT:I have been researching for many years the lineage of William MCINTOSH. William was born in North Carolina in 1794. His name appears on the Crooked River Township, Hardin, Ray County, Missouri, 1870 census. He would have been 76 in 1870. His name does not appear on the 1880 census. It is certain that he died in Missouri as we have a letter indicating that he was in poor health. William MCINTOSH lived with his son, Thomas McIntosh (Hardin, Ray County, Missouri).
 
Son of William, Thomas was born 1830 Sullivan County., Indiana and died 18 Feb 1882 in Hardin, Ray County, Missouri. Thomas moved to Hardin in 1867 (est.) and was a village blacksmith and landowner.
 
I have gone through the cemetery records on line and do not find where either William or Thomas are buried. Is it possible that you could shed some light on either of the McIntosh's mentioned. I do have records of the wife and family of Thomas. William's wife died in Indiana.
 
Obviously, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

QRYTEXT:Seeking any information concerning MOYER family. Benjamin F. MOYER b. in Orange County, IN. in 1833. Benjamin F. was a prominent farmer in Ray Co. following Civil War. Married Olive HULL 1857. 3 Children lived to adulthood. Fanny married Theodore WORTHING or WARDEN, Alice married George STIGALL, Josephine married David RIDER. As late as 1950's some relatives were in Richmond area. Benjamin also had brothers living or visiting in MO. William H. b. 1843 in IL supposedly died in Richmond June 27, 1879. His wife Elle, and children Srilda and William H. Jr. were probably still in Indiana. Bothers James A.MOYER b. 1841 and John W. MOYER b. 1839 may also have lived in the area. They may also have moved to KA. My grandmother visited MOYERS in both states as late a 1950. Benjamin's mother was Sarah PIPPEN who probably moved to Ray county following the death of her husband Paul Nathan MOYER in Paris, IL. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. I have quite a bit of information on early MOYERS to share. I also have many photos (including Civil War photo of Benjamin F.)and a few letters.
