Only Walters tombstone was above ground the last time (an only time) I was there. Walters dates are , born Aug 13, 1872, died Aug 15, 1900. The family lived on as farm about 2 miles outside od Elmira, MO. William L and Sallie were my greatgreatparents and Walter was my great uncle. Any help would be greatly appreciated. One sister in Gibson County, Tennessee married to a man by the name of Robert ELLISON/ALLISON. Two sisters in Warren County, one married to a man by the name of Elisha RUNNELS, the other to James ELLISON. Said Thaxton has uncles in Kentucky by the name of BROOKS, but knows not what county. QRYTEXT:I am trying to establish the exact location of the cemetery where John S.  and Catharine RIDGELL CRAIG are buried.
Family information lists their place of residence as Grape Grove township at the time of their deaths - for Catharine, we think that was March 16, 1889. I have a picture of the headstone which shows both their names on the one stone, so presumably they are buried in the same grave. Catharine RIDGELL CRAIG is my father's great-great-grandmother.   My maternal grandmother's maiden name was RIDGELL, so we know that Catharine is related to her as well, but we haven't yet figured out how.   The Ridgell's moved to Ray County from Kentucky prior to or during the Civil War, so it's pretty certain they're related.
Any information you can send me would be greatly appreciated.   I'm planning a trip to Ray County sometime later this year and would like to see the headstone, visit Grape Grove and Crooked River, where my maternal grandmother's people lived prior to moving to Kansas City.

I am trying to find out info about my grandfather and grandmothers family, etc. He was born Anderson Ray, changed it to Ance Ray, ran a grocery in Camden, MO. He married Mattie Eva HUDGENS sometime around 1890-1900. My grandmother had a brother Hukell Hudgens, and my grandfather had brothers and sisters, but I do not have their names. There may also be VANDERPOOLS in the family, but I do not know the connection. The family owned land in the river bottoms near Orrick, but that is also in dispute as the owner of the property may have been killed in the border disputes prior to the ACW. Ance and Matttie had two daughters, Leona Ray and Shirley Jean Ray 20 years apart (~1900 and 1925?). Leona married James Wyatt MARTIN(~1926?)[one daughter-Rita] and Shirley Jean married Edward Lamar Goodwin (1945)[one son, Ronald]. I am that son of Shirley and Ed Goodwin, and would like to find out everything I can about my grandfather's and grandmother's families. His father's name may have been Daniel Ray. QRYTEXT:RUSOW, not RENSHAW, 1830 marriage. I would like to correct a surname listed on the Marriage Records on-line. In 1859 the abstractors who looked at the original marriage records mis-read the name and published the groom's surname as being RENSHAW.  I have a copy of the record. The clerk's handwriting is "RUESHOW" ... the surname actually is French, ROUSSEAU. Anglicized, it is RUSOW.  ROUSSEAU (Rusow), Peter and Peggy FIELDS, both of lawful age, were married by William Black, Justice of the Peace, on April 22, 1830.  I descend from this couple.
