QRYTEXT:My GGGG Grandparents married in Ray County, Missouri on Oct 15, 1848  - Levi MITCHELL and Mary HALLECK (HALLOCK).  I would love more information on them.
 
I know they had three children:
 
James MITCHELL  age 19 in the Platte County, Missouri on the 1860 census.

Georgeann MITCHELL age 17 and married to John Andrew STILLWAGGON in Platte County, Missouri on the 1860 Census.

Levi MITCHELL
 
James is living with his sister - Georgeann and her husband in 1860 and I'm wondering if Levi (Sr.) and Mary died.
 
Also,  my father has been told that we have  Indian ancestry.  I saw that Ray County, Missouri was at one time an Indian reservation?  Where would I find the records for those Indians and what tribe was it?
 
I would be so grateful for any help you can give me.

He married (1) Maggie M. (unknown) Abt. 1891. He married (2) Lillie Anne HAWKINS Bef. 1924 in Richmond, MO. William Eli and James Harris are both listed as coal miners on the 1910 Census for Richmond Twp, Ray County, Missouri, Sheet No. 7B William Eli and Maggie had 1 child, James Harris CAMPER b. 1894 in Tennessee. James Harris died November 26, 1934; and is buried in Richmond, MO at the Sunnyslope Cemetery. He was married to Jean, and they had no children. William Eli and Lillie Anne had an infant son, W. E. CAMPER died March 26, 1924 that is also buried at Sunnyslope Cemetery in Richmond, MO. There is said to be another infant buried at the Sunnyslope Cemetery.

I would also like to know whether there is evidence of his ever having married. Martha Ford BOLTON or BOULTON, was Bob FORD's sister. I would like to know anything of her history, marital status, offspring, etc.

His father was John Chaney who married Mary Jane(Polly)Dandee (DOWDEN) on April 2, 1843 in Ray county. There is a John Chaney listed in the 1850 census of Ray county that is married to Mary with children Hiram and John. The time frame fits. There are Dowdens there in the 1830 census but no Chaneys. He lived  here  in Boone County  as  well  as  Ray County.  He  was  a  resident of  Ray (I think  lived  in  Richmond, when he  died  in 1870  during a  trip  to St. Louis.) Dr.  Frehling  hopes  there  is  still  standing  somewhere  in Ray County  a  house  in  which Gov. King  lived.
